Xare Qualls

Xare Qualls is a dance artist who began her dance training at a few local dance studios in Tampa, FL. She trained for 23 years in contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, acrobatics, tap, hiphop, and musical theatre. After graduating from Blake high school of the Performing Arts as a dance major she continued her training with a full dance scholarship at HCC Ybor's dance department while taking open classes with USF dance department. She is the recipient of the Pelican Players scholarship in 2004 for choreographic potential. She has been trained by dance professionals from all over the world, took classes from New York's and Boston's finest dance companies such as ABT, Joffrey Ballet, Martha Graham, Isadora Duncan, and performed with Boston's Funk Phenomenon while living there in 2007, all while enduring intense local/national competitions and workshops. She has been recognized for her choreography in national competitions receiving special awards, performance scholarships and asked to come back to be a special judge for many competitions. Going on 16 years of teaching she is currently the head teacher and artistic Director of Tampa for a traveling dance company that teaches dance at numerous daycares all across Hillsborough county called Dancing Little Stars. She sees it as a blessing to inspire young dancers of all ages. She loves being a part of her dancers development, growth and watching them become successful, disciplined artists.
